About This Package
CityEngine creates smart 3D building and city models for use in fields such as architecture and urban planning. Highly detailed cityscapes and building facades can be created from GIS data and rules specifying building characteristics. Models can be exported for use in spatial analysis, high-end 3D rendering software, or game engines.
CityEngine is available for Linux, Mac, Win-32 and Win-64 operating systems and is available as a Single Use license or Concurrent Use license (uses the ArcGIS 10.1 License Manager). Under the terms of the Esri Educational Site License, it can be used for teaching, research, and administrative purposes (no commercial use).

Installation Notes
To use Esri CityEngine 2012 Concurrent Use software, you must have an existing ArcGIS 10.1 License Manager in place. The UITS managed Esri license servers support CityEngine. If you need a single use license, send an email to uitsgis@indiana.edu
